The Wisest Person I Know

Diane is one of the wisest persons I know. The only reason I qualify this statement, and do not write “the” wisest, is that she married me. That left a lingering doubt in my mind ever since!

Whenever I am not sure about the appropriateness of a course of action, I will seek her advice. I do this especially when I am uncertain about how to relate appropriately to people. She is a genius when it comes to perceiving how people need to be approached to make them feel welcomed and safe. As well, her knack for building bridges and bringing people together is amazing. She seems to always know which string to pull to easily untangle the most tangled of knots. Her intuition is unparalleled. Once, when we were playing a game that involved solving a problem using logical deduction, she managed to do so in three steps when the logical solution was impossible to find in less than five. She insisted that her “reasoning” to arrive at the solution was perfectly logical!
Diane may have revealed that her wisdom was not completely flawless when she married me, but my wisest move was certainly made when I married her!
